Event Description

🌿 Build the Landscape. Build Your Future.

Most "resume builders" happen in a cubicle. This one happens in the dirt, the gardens, and the history of one of Long Island’s most iconic estates.

The Planting Fields Foundation Service Corps is your chance to trade the desk for the great outdoors. You aren't just maintaining a landscape; you’re leaving a visible mark on the world while earning a stipend and gaining "boots-on-the-ground" career experience.

Working in small, mentor-led crews, you'll walk away with the leadership skills—and the behind-the-scenes access—that sets college and job applications apart.

  • 📅 Date: May 4 – June 26, 2026 (8-week term)

  • 🕒 Time: Mon–Fri | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

  • 📍 Location: Planting Fields Foundation, Oyster Bay

  • 💰 Benefit: $2,400 Total Stipend ($300/week) + Housing potential

  • 🙌 Who: Young Adults ages 18 – 26

What You’ll Master

  • 🌻 Estate Gardening: Care for world-class historic grounds.

  • 🦋 Habitat Restoration: Directly improve the local ecosystem.

  • 🔍 Field Access: Exclusive entry to archives and collections.

  • 🛠️ Leadership: Real-world project management and teamwork.
